Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 has set a new milestone after its launch, with a total player base peaking at 2.81 Million! The release of the patch was a massive success, with a variety of new content including map changes, boss monsters, and new stars making an appearance in the game.

Fortnite released in 2017 and soon rose to fame quickly after players fell in love with its graphics, weapon systems, and the fun multiplayer arena it provided. The game has continued to be popular in the battle royale / FPS genre, with many streamers and content creators dedicated to creating content based around it. Moreover, the game also retains its popularity due to the inclusion of popular pop culture elements and characters. Even so, the game goes through some phases of lows due to either content getting stale or some in-game problem.

The general dips in players generally occur during the end of a patch, or throughout a certain patch that is disliked by the community. The Chapter 4 Season 3 which was termed The Wilds Update, fell in the latter category. The excitement around the patch died down very fast after players found the new map layout tedious and boring with minimal changes from the previous patch. Even the newer elements like dinosaurs and gadgets could not change player opinion, who labelled it as simply boring.

This is the major reason why players were very excited about the release of the new update. The trailers and leaks about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 were looking quite fun, with the promise of brand-new elements like racing mode, a vampire boss and more. Naturally, when the patch released, Epic Games saw a major influx of players rushing in to try the new update!

Fortnite had made the player counts public this year in March, and it clearly shows the excitement behind this update. In the very first 3 days, the game saw an average of 2.5 Million players logging in to check out the new features and map. Moreover, the third day saw the biggest spike as the excitement reached its peak, and player count shot up till 2.81 Million! This is the single largest player count in a day after the player count counter went live.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is looking great, with several new things to check out. A new Heist system is in place, where players will need to clutch out some exclusive weapons from the Vampire Boss residing in the Hotel islands. With rumors of a big LEGO collaboration incoming, you can look forward to even higher player counts in the coming days.
