Spotify and Operations in Russia
Spotify is a Swedish Media Company that is one of few companies that is continuing their service in Russia after the Russia-Ukraine War. But when they did not get the end of this war then they decided to stop their services.
On Thursday, Spotify sent an email to all Russian users of Spotify and told them about the service issue. Well, Russian citizens didn’t have anything to do with this war but their leaders. But this is the only way to stop this war or our peaceful world is going to face a major crisis in the future.
While in the starting days of the war when every company was stopping their services in Russia Spotify made a statement. This statement is about the reason why they are the only ones continuing their services in Russia-Ukraine War.
They state that ”Spotify has continued to believe that it’s critically important to try to keep our service operational in Russia to provide trusted, independent news and information from the region. We think it’s critically important to try to keep our service operational in Russia to allow for the global flow of information”
